The core LATCH team is located in Kansas City, St. Louis, Boulder and Chicago and we access additional talent, as needed, in markets throughout the United States. We grew up with technology and we use it effectively to communicate among ourselves and with you.  What that also means is we keep our overhead low and pass those savings on to you.

Founder + Mentor

Phil was most recently a co-owner of MBB+ Advertising. In addition to running MBB+ for the past twelve years, he has spent his career working both for agencies and on the client side in Kansas City, Chicago, Oklahoma City and Salt Lake City.  In addition to his role as an Adjunct Professor with the University of Kansas Integrated Marketing Communications graduate program, Phil is also involved with numerous charitable organizations in the Kansas City area.  A graduate of the University of Kansas, Phil is married and has two grown boys.

I wanted to build a place where [college grads] could utilize their amazing creativity and brain power to solve real challenges for real clients.

"I started LATCH for two reasons. One, I wanted to create a more progressive and affordable ad agency model--one that challenges the common belief that most agencies are slow and expensive. Second, I experienced and recognized the high level of  work being done by recent college grads. I envisioned a place where they could utilize their amazing creativity and brain power to solve real challenges for real clients. I've seen too many great people with a lot of talent lose interest in the business because they started at the bottom and were rarely or never asked to contribute real thinking.   

The insight and inspiration for LATCH was to combine those two things. So that's what we've done. We've created a refreshing agency model that connects brands with young adults who are often making brand decisions for the first time. We've staffed the company with smart thinkers who actually are the audience. We have created a transparent, creative and affordable solution for clients. And most importantly, we have developed a model where all co-workers contribute from day one and share their life stage expertise for the benefit of our clients."
